The City of Atlanta has provided a checklist online that outlines the process for variance requests.  Click here to download that document.

The description of the Summerhill Overlay, as approved in 2006, is posted here

According to the City of Atlanta, each NPU must approve the variance request.  Each NPU may require additional neighborhood approvals.  In the case of NPU-V and Summerhill, the Organized Neighbors of Summerhill and the Summerhill Neighborhood Development Corporation must approve all variances.

The Organized Neighbors of Summerhill has established an online review process to expedite discussion and voting during our neighborhood meetings.  The city does not require you to support this process, but to help with your review, we recommend:

1)  Submit a scanned copy of the variance request 2 weeks prior to the Summerhill Meeting, which is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month.

2)  Whenever possible, submit digital pictures of the site and a sketch of what you plan to do.

3)  Send a link in Google Maps to the site location.

This information will be posted in the Variance Request Log online for comment prior to the meeting.

Online discussion is taken into account, but ONLY THOSE PRESENT AT THE MEETING MAY VOTE ON THE VARIANCE.
