Two Earth Day events will take place in Summerhill!
(1) The SNDC Summerhill Community Garden will host an Earth Day event from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm in Phoenix Park II that will include:
Free class hosted by Sacred Yoga to connect with the earth through yoga and meditation.
Press Shop will host a workshop using recycled paper to create seed bombs.
SNDC sewing workshop using scrap clothing to make art.
Publix will host a quick pickle workshop teaching how to preserve vegetables from a garden.
(2) ECO-Action will host an Earth Day Festival Saturday, April 20, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in Phoenix Park III, at the intersection of Connally Street and Georgia Ave.
The festival will be a celebration of sustainability, eco-friendly practices, and social responsibility. Attendees can look forward to a variety of engaging activities, including free soil testing, games, prizes, bounce houses, food vendors, music, and fun for people of all ages.
